Remember to Vote on Tuesday

The absolute worst thing you can do is convince yourself that your own vote doesn't matter. With the percentage of registered voter turnout expected somewhere in the mid teens, every single vote counts! Don't leave the future of your school board to chance.

For anyone who votes at Maple Point, I will be standing outside of the polling area all day so please stop by and say hello.

See you on Tuesday!

I received a voting mailer from three persons who wish to be elected to the Neshaminy School Board. The mailing contained a few grammatical errors plus a chart that at best was misleading, at worst it was incomprehensible. My question is how can we rely on these persons to intelligently represent the citizens when they cannot put out a mailing that makes sense.

The following comment submitted by srudy was edited for content.
The teachers just took another opportunity to ruin one of our nicest traditions at our school. We had our Halloween parade and all the teachers wore their blue union shirts. The kindergarten teacher wore a costume but cut a hole out of the costume so everyone could see the union logo. Another rule from the union I guess the teachers have no gut to say no. SAY NO TO TEACHERS UNIONS.

SSRudy - I omitted the teachers name since I did not personally witness the event and would have to consider it hearsay. The rest of your comment was unedited.

Mr Rodos - For people who attend meetings and watch school board proceedings carefully such as you, you will figure out who to vote for. For those who aren't as attentive, it's a coin toss.

srodos, be more clear on this. I have seen no mailer like you describe only a non-partisan lit drop and add in voters guide by our vocal anti-union friends from the SB meetings. Sure it has to bother the union since public ingnorance is their friend in this.

Remember not to get to specific about details as I don't want to turn this into a candidates' debate.

ACS - there isn't enough money for either side to send out as many mailers as they'd like, so they supplement with fliers handed out by volunteers, usually targeted to likely voting areas such as Flowers Mill. Both sides have been making last minute lit drops this weekend to those areas.

It's unfortunate Mr. Rodos didn't make it past the primary election. For the remaining 2 of 4 candidates in Langhorne I think the choice is obvious for those who want financial A-N-D educational progress in Neshaminy. Fear not Mr. O, I won't utter any names, but I do agree with you. If you stay informed of the district and pay attention to the candidates, you have enough information in hand to make a decision.

ACS, my mistake. I had cut out the ad from the Courier Times Voter Guide and placed it on a table with the mailers. Come to think of it, the ad should not have been in the Voter Guide which I had assumed was created as a public service. However, with ad revenue down I understand the Courier Times situation.

srodos, Thanks. Although it was in your face it was very powerful in educating the people who are NOT paying attention to this. Also, that guide contained lots of paid adds not just that one.
