According to Neshaminy’s Business Manager, Joe Paradise, FiOS could be broadcasting the Neshaminy Channel as early as end of this month.

Per their agreement with the township Verizon is not required to have the Middletown Community channel broadcasting until the end of the 3rd quarter, however, it is most likely they will complete the nessasary connections by the end of the 2nd quarter. Happy viewing!

I hope you got that in blood...he told us parents that 4 months ago.

Fios or Verizon....Why doesn't Neshaminy kill two birds with one stone and broadcoast educational content for parents such as info on PSSA's, how to help your child succeed in school, workshops etc. Instead it is replays of wooden puppets subtitled in German?

Whenever Verizon or Middletown Township finally get around to broadcasting the Neshaminy channel (they both point fingers at the other) it won't be soon enough for us.

With recent board doings and decisions as they've played out, I am sure we would have kept Comcast until Verizon got their channel squared away, had we known. That's not to say we aren't viewers when things are running smoothly--it's all important and we watch ALL the meetings we can't make in person.

Anonymous above me is right on the mark. Could we broadcast things like plays, concerts and other recorded events put on by our students. We, as parents, were unfortunately unable to attend gym night last year but were pleasantly surprised to see it being shown on the Neshaminy channel later that month.

It would be great for the community to see all the good things so many kids are doing in the schools. By keeping people in touch with their schools, we will only gain support from it's members. It's also a great way for kids interested in the video production field to get some hands on experience.

How about posting information like graduation project requirements, PSSA test registration info, upcoming pre-school story hour sessions, after school clubs, etc.
With busy families and hectic schedules, we've missed our share of important flyers (that may or may not make it home with our children). We could so easily tune in for a few minutes at the end of a crazy night for updates.

Just some food for thought....

We've tried to get our musicals on the channel. But they'd have to be shown in part because of rights, licensing, etc. But when we have tried, we turn it over and never see it. Seems to be a 'power of 1' over the channel. No one has charge of it except the business mgr. He does as he pleases. If you watch it, you see the same stuff over and over and there is no flow to any of it. Don't request a fix, then you never get your stuff on. Trust me, we know first hand of that! Very frustrating.
