Not a Good Trend

A Courier Times article shows how Neshaminy has the 2nd highest average teacher salary in all of Pennsylvania, yet our PSSA scores are lower than most of the surrounding school districts. Not exactly the kind of results we're expecting, are they?

I don't think the teachers have anything to do with the low test scores. When a kid hands in a PSAA test in 5 minutes and then puts his or her head down on a desk, the parents deserve a phone call.

Want to see the PSSA scores rise? How about setting a minimum standard and making a passing grade a graduation REQUIREMENT? Perhaps the students will take the test more seriously.
